The Gelp popup showing Panda Express with a combined 3.6 out of 5 score, and a split bar weighting Yelp at 20 percent and Google at 80 percent
// The whole idea
Yelp 2.3223 reviews
Google 3.8907 reviews

Weighted by review count, not averaged blindly. 3.6 out of 5.

// Why it helps

Better decisions,
less effort.

01

Save hours of research

Stop switching between Yelp and Google tabs. See both ratings instantly on the page you’re already on.

02

Weighted for accuracy

More reviews means stronger influence. The score weighs each rating by review count for a more reliable result.

03

Same business, verified

Address matching makes sure you’re comparing the exact same location across both platforms.

// Why it exists

I kept finding great local businesses with strong Google reviews but unfairly low Yelp scores. Places that deserved better. So I built Gelp for myself, and now I’m sharing it.

// FAQ

Common questions.

What is Gelp?

A browser extension that combines Yelp and Google ratings into one trusted score. It shows a weighted average of both platforms directly on the page, so you can decide without switching tabs.

How is the score calculated?

A weighted average based on the number of reviews from each platform. More reviews means more influence in the final score. That gives a more accurate picture than a simple average.

Which browsers are supported?

All Chromium-based browsers, including Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Opera and Vivaldi. If your browser supports Chrome extensions, Gelp will work.

Does Gelp track me?

No. Gelp is local-first by design. There is no account, and nothing about your browsing leaves your device.
